Provides support as advertised. Used for flat feet and pain in knees is eliminated as ankles are now in proper position. Used in a sneaker whose insole is removable. Without removing, stacking this onto the existing shoe padding made the toes too tight, and the back portion of the shoe too shallow - i.e. ankle is raised too high so that the heel doesn't sit into the show enough for support or grip. Has better cushion than the original version so I like this better since it's used without the shoe's original insole. Will purchase again as needed.
My doctor recommended that I start using inserts in order to reduce some pain, and I wasn't really sure which one to purchase -- there are so many. This one had some good reviews, and three days in I must say that it is making a world of difference. You do need to cut them to size, but that is pretty simple. I am quite pleased with this product and would absolutely recommend them.
I'm am so glad I found you n Facebook ad! I have RA and am walking on bones on my metatarsals. Now that I found them I can walk without pain!! I forgot what it felt like to be able to walk without pain! Thank you thank you thank you! I showed my chiropractor and he was very impressed and he is going to recommend them for his paitents! Can't have a better review then that!
I love these insoles. I have a pair of Sperry boat shoes that I love and wear all summer - the original kind, with nothing but a leather insole on top of the flat rubber outsole. This insole is thin enough that they don't take up too much room in the shoe, but the contouring give me support for my heel, arch, and ball of foot. I've also used them in ballet flats (they have to be the wider, roomier kind) and Converse sneakers - pretty much any shoe with a flat outer sole and no built in support.
Game changer for me. Age 55 and on my feet most of the day on concrete (teacher). Lately my feet, legs, knees, and hips have been aching. I decided to try these based on the great rating. I was concerned at first as they are not spongy like the regular gel insoles and the arch support seemed a little much. However, following the advice of another reviewer, I gave them a chance and after a few days I really noticed a difference; rather, I stopped noticing all the discomfort I had been going through beforehand. I am sooo thrilled I found these and will be ordering more for my other shoes as I have been switching out these insoles to whatever I'm wearing on a given day. You need to try these if your condition is similar to what I was going through.
Anytime I buy something, I always read the reviews before purchasing the item and this was no exception. Everything I read about these insoles were 100% correct. I read that you have to break them in and it is going to hurt for a little while until you do and they were so right. I already had pain in my feet from Plantar Fasciitis, so it was difficult to not want to throw them back in the box and send back. If it wasn't for the reviews and giving them a chance because of them, I would have sent them back immediately. Instead I chose to listen and gave them time, even with the pain they caused until my feet got used to them. It took about or less then a week and I was pain free. I cannot stress how difficult it was for me to walk and now I have no pain. I can now stand all day at work and not have to cringe every time I walk. Another commenter also said that these would be a sure fit or you might have to cut just a tad bit, but not much to fit in the shoe. They were right about this also, I did not have to cut the insole at all. It fit perfectly in 3 of my jogging shoes. No cutting and no fuss, just insert into the shoe and go (aside from getting used to them). So, if you have pain on the bottom of you feet and/or your ankle, I highly recommend getting these because they are worth it. I could not be happier with these because they took my pain away. I am so grateful to those who commented on these and got me to buy them. Thank you and Powerstep for saving my feet and taking my pain away. Update: Bought a pair for my husband and he loves them. Stopped his knee pain :)
I am a "seasoned" nurse. I am approaching 30 years of working 12 hour(and longer) shifts on concrete. I am here to tell you, protect yourself, if you work on concrete. The human body isn't made to do it hour after hour. I have chronic plantar fasciitis. I've had the prescription orthotics, approaching $500, I've had the drug store cushions and I have had those ridiculous ones where you stand on the machine at the store and it chooses a style for you. These are easily as good as my $500 pair. I put these in all my shoes(they have some for heels too!). I did upsize my shoes by a half size rather than trim these. My husband and a son are now getting PF so I bought them each a pair as well. You can take out the original insoles and put these in your shoes. They make even cheap unsupportive shoes better. Yes, you need rigid support not more cushion if you have PF. I didn't have to break mine in and neither did my husband, but podiatrists usually suggest you wear the expensive pairs for ~4 hours the first day and work up from there.
When I first tried these out in my Nike SFB coyote boots that come with Zero Arch support I thought they had too much support but after walking in them for a few days and then going on a 5 mile ruck march (hike with a 80lb bag) I found that these were absolutely wonderful and apparently exactly the right amount of Arch support for me. I have a medium Arch that was on the verge of collapsing do to my job (active duty 11b infantry US Army) which requires me to be on my feet the better part of 12 hours a day. In addition shipping was fairly quick given I bought these while deployed to Afghanistan and they got here in 6 days through APO address. They also dry out fairly quick if your feet sweat a lot (average temp here 107). In closing definitely worth buying soldier approved.
I went to my foot doctor and had orthotics custom made for me, but he never called me back about if they were ready. Then I remembered seeing him have a group of "SuperFeet" brand orthotic inserts and searched for them on here. Another Amazon Customer left a review about this brand, "PowerStep" on the other items listing. That person said that the PowerStep brand was (and is) half the price of the SuperFeet brand. I did my comparison shopping and noticed that he was correct. So, I made my decision to purchase TWO PAIRS of inserts. One for my work shoes; the second for my regular shoes. They fit perfectly well in both shoes, but take a while to get used to. I am quite happy with them because they're cheaper than the other brand and WAY cheaper than trying to get custom molded orthotic inserts. I would highly recommend this brand for anyone suffering from foot pain and issues. Will definitely be a returning customer when I have to replace the ones that I have now.
I bought this product a few months ago to help alleviate the pain in my feet. The product itself is well made and had no problems with delivery. It definitely adds comfort and cushioning to the foot area but I guess as it's generic it's not going to completely solve your problems. As you may need more or less cushioning in a particular area of your foot. But let's be clear the cost of getting this custom made are ridiculous so for a fraction of the cost I'd recommend this even if it's a temporary solution.
This is my second pair. The first pair was prescribed to me by my podiatrist before my bunion surgery. I have continued to use them in post surgery phase. For all new users you need to allow your feet to get used to being reshaped on how you walk and run. Ever notice when you buy a pair of running shoes or any shoes you are paying $80-150/pair or more, the insole in the shoes are worth about $0.50 ? Well the mfg wont give you quality insoles in cheaper or more expensive shoes because they know that quality insoles will increase the life to the shoe since you will likely wear them properly and not buy more pairs of shoes. Try these out. Don't stack the insoles as many tend to do, if the old ones are glued in , work them out to replace them with these. Give them a little time to get your arches get use to them and you will probably never look back. Your calves and heels may cry a little in the beginning since you are shifting the "footprint" of your step which will transfer the changes in your joints and muscle up your ankles and calves and maybe even knees. It is ok, as you have even using those muscles and joints to compensate for poor walking habits anyways and they are just thanking you.
